Lace up those sneakers for our second annual Strollinâ for the Colon 5K Run/Walk, Saturday, March 28th, 2020! This event not only helps you get your steps in for the day, but also raises awareness about colorectal cancer and the importance of colon cancer screenings. Prevention is key, as colon cancer is 90% preventable and 90% treatable. After all, March IS colon cancer awareness month. What better way to celebrate!?
If that wasnât reason enough, you will have some great photo opportunities to commemorate the day as you begin and finish the race through our very unique GIANT SUPER INFLATABLE COLON TUNNEL, which measures 10 feet tall, 13 feet wide, and 20 feet long. Just think of the fun pictures you can share on social media! #kmcstrollinforthecolon
Meet us at MacLennan Park Trail, located off 6th Ave and Governors Lake Rd in Topeka, KS. Make sure to wear appropriate attire for the pea rock gravel trail and pavement sidewalk (and of course for this unpredictable Kansas weather). The fun begins at 8:30 am sharp! Any last-minute packet pickup or registration will start at 7:45 am and go until race time.
Registration cost is $20. Colon cancer survivors receive FREE registration. Contact Taylor at tcowen@kmcpa.com or 785-295-0917 for details. Survivors MUST register to participate.
We canât wait to see each and every one of your faces on race day! We truly appreciate your support in raising colon cancer awareness within the Topeka community and surrounding areas throughout Northeast Kansas. All of the proceeds of the event go to benefit the American Cancer Society of Kansas.
